Waterloo murder trial delayed a week

The trial of a Varick man accused of fatally shooting two people in July has been delayed due to a lack of jurors.

Jury selection in the trial of Emerson “John” Tohafjian will now continue Dec. 10.

The trial started Friday with jury selection, but the pool of candidates was exhausted Monday before 12 jurors and three alternates could be seated.
