Man pleads guilty to Yates County Jail incident

A local man who threw toilet water and its contents on corrections officers at the Yates County Jail will have time added to his prison term.

Tyler Hurlbert, 20, pleaded guilty in Yates County Court to several counts of aggravated harassment of an employee by an inmate, a class E felony.

The charges stem from an April incident at the jail. Hurlbert, who was incarcerated there at the time, admitted throwing water and contents from his toilet at corrections officers while they were handling a separate incident.
