Deputies also say Mercado proceeded to make multiple threats of physical harm to deputies while in custody.

He was arrested for resisting arrest, harassment, and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Mercado was arraigned before Judge VanNostrand in the Town of Williamson Court.

Following arraignment Mercado was committed to the Wayne County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail. He is to reappear in the Town of Williamson court at a later date for further court proceedings.
