WEEKEND FORECAST: Morning fog gives way to mild, dry stretch for Finger Lakes

Mainly dry. And Mainly mild.

Two things the Finger Lakes is excited to hear in the closing weeks until Christmas Day. If getting out on Friday or Saturday is the goal – the weather will cooperate – and it will even be comfortable enough during the afternoon to shed the heavy, winter jackets.

Both days will feature dry and mild weather with highs in the 40s, according to the National Weather Service.

Patchy dense fog will be possible each morning across higher terrain, but shouldn’t be too problematic for those taking to the roads.

Rain will stick to the Southern Tier, or Pennsylvania border over the weekend.
