Deputies say a 27-year-old Marion man was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a crash at Jeffrey Road and State Route 21 during the early-morning hours Saturday.
William Bond, 27, of Marion was charged with DWI, AUO, failure to stop at a stop sign, and unreasonable speed after investigation.
Deputies say the accident in Palmyra occurred when Bond failed to stop at a stop sign, and exited the roadway of State Route 21 – coming to rest in a ditch.
Bond was arrested at the scene and processed at the Wayne County Jail. He refused to submit to a chemical breath test, and was arraigned in Palmyra Town Court.
He was remanded to the Wayne County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 secured bond.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
