Lyons student in custody after violent lunchtime incident

Lyons school district Superintendent Don Putnam says a student is in police custody after a physical altercation during lunch on Thursday.

Video of the incident, which was obtained exclusively by FL1 News – shows a student jumping on, and leaping over tables – striking numerous individuals.

Putnam told the Finger Lakes Times that “As soon as the incident began, the Lyons staff acted immediately to follow district protocol and ensure student safety.”

It’s unclear if anyone involved in the incident was injured. It’s unclear what led to the incident.
