Cuomo proposes free childcare for single parents pursuing a degree

There could soon be more help for younger parents to help them balance school and family life — for free.

Students could receive free on-site childcare at participating SUNY and CUNY schools.

The plan also includes support services for single parents including tutoring, career counseling, and help to transition into a four-year school if they want to continue their higher education.
