Byrne Dairy’s plan to raze the dilapidated former Roosevelt School on East Union Street in the Village of Newark to make way for a new convenience store and gas station is underway on Monday.
The village Planning Board gave site plan approval for the project at its January meeting. The demolition will pave the way for the store’s construction.
