Former Yates Chamber leader gets jail, probation after cashing forged check

The former interim director of the Yates County Chamber of Commerce will spend some time behind bars for cashing a forged check in 2017.

In Yates County Court Tuesday, Judge Jason Cook sentenced Julie Coleman to five years’ probation.

District Attorney Todd Casella said Coleman will spend the first 80 days of that probation in jail.
