Look what they found at Tom’s Mobil site

Work is continuing at the former Tom’s Mobil site on South Main Street.

Crews are working to demolish the structure, as part of a joint city of Canandaigua and state Environmental Protection and Spill Compensation project to rid the site of contamination and prepare it for a buyer. The two entities will split the proceeds of a sale.

The city eventually would like to see a viable business that fits the downtown Canandaigua aesthetic and provides a transition from downtown to Canandaigua Lake.
