The fourth annual Seneca Falls Canal Fest is scheduled for July 5-7 on both sides of the Cayuga-Seneca Canal downtown.
Sponsored by the Seneca Falls Business Association (SFBA), the three-day celebration has many opportunities for volunteering, vending and fundraising.
Non-profit organizations are invited to participate in the “Dunk for a Cause’’ dunking booth. They can register for a time slot to staff the dunking booth to raise funds for their organization.
The SFBA is also offering opportunities for crafters, artists, small businesses, food vendors, groups and organizations to sell their products and gain exposure. Vending space applications are available online at www.senecafalls.com/canalfest.
Canal Fest will feature amusement rides and a midway, live music, duck races on the canal, a petting zoo, fireworks, the Aquacade watercraft parade, live demonstrations and performances, food and more. There are many volunteer opportunities available for three- to four-hour shifts. Interested persons age 12 or older are asked to fill out an online volunteer form.
The event will run 5 to 11 p.m. Friday, July 5; 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, July 6; and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 7.
