Two arrested after stolen vehicle discovered during traffic stop in Tyre

Deputies say it began as a routine traffic stop for speeding, and led to the discovery of a stolen vehicle.

On Sunday at approximately 6 p.m. deputies arrested Harold J. Wallace, Jr., 31, and Jasmine L. Radlowski, 26, both of Auburn following a traffic stop on Route 318 in Tyre.

Deputies stopped the vehicle, operated by Radlowski, for traveling 23 mph over the speed limit.

Upon stopping the vehicle, deputies discovered that it had been reported stolen from the City of Auburn.

Deputies also discovered that Wallace possessed metal knuckles.

Radlowski was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle; and issued citations for speeding. Wallace was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and felony criminal possession of a weapon.

Both were turned over to corrections to await arraignment. Deputies were assisted by DEC investigators.
