Tops investing $40M in upstate New York stores

Tops Friendly Markets is putting millions of dollars into some of its stores in upstate New York.

The announcement comes months after the chain closed several stores in our area.

The grocery chain will spend $40 million on renovations to at least six stores including the one in LeRoy. The first phase of work is already underway.

A re-grand opening is scheduled for July 16 at the LeRoy location.
