Deputies: Bloomfield man charged with DWI after one-vehicle crash

Deputies say a Bloomfield man was charged with driving while intoxicated and transported to Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua following a one-vehicle crash on County Road 30.

Joseph Sykes, 24, of Bloomfield was traveling west on County Road 30 in Canandaigua when he lost control of his vehicle, according to deputies.

The vehicle traveled off the road, through a ditch, and came to rest in a field.

Deputies say Sykes suffered an ankle injury and was transported to F.F. Thompson Hospital. He was charged with DWI and failure to keep right.

The charges will be answered at a later date.
