Operators of Disney on Ice, Monster Jam and Sesame Street Live! say their shows will not be returning to Blue Cross Arena “for the foreseeable future.”
That is because after months of negotiations with the arena’s new operator, Pegula Sports and Entertainment, talks have reached a stalemate.
Jehovah’s Witnesses cited a similar impasse last week as the reason for moving their upcoming conventions out of Rochester.
The religious group’s late-summer gatherings trace back 30 years, and have been one of, if not the largest conventions to annually visit Rochester. Feld traces its history back at least 50 years, to the days of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus.
Pegula Sports took over operations of Blue Cross Arena at the Community War Memorial last summer after the city ousted longtime manager SMG.
