Cayuga County Sheriff Brian Schenck reports the arrest of a 27-year-old following a kidnapping investigation in the city of Auburn.
Darnell Wilson, 27, of Auburn is accused of felony kidnapping, felony unlawful imprisonment, misdemeanor menacing, and misdemeanor criminal possession of a weapon.
Deputies say he arrived at a woman’s home in the city of Auburn, who was later discovered to be missing from her residence. After a welfare check was conducted it was determined that the 24-year-old was kidnapped by Wilson, and brought to his residence against her will.
She was threatened with a knife, according to the Sheriff’s Office. However, the victim was not injured in the incident.
Wilson was arraigned and committed to the Cayuga County Jail on $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 secured bond.
Sheriff Schenck says that bond was posted and Wilson was released.
