LATEST: Troopers ID those hospitalized after violent rollover wreck on Thruway in Phelps

Troopers say that despite all of the injuries suffered in Friday’s serious rollover crash near Exit 42 of the New York State Thruway – a 1-year-old who was on-board at the time was not hurt.

However, at least one other person – suffered life-threatening injuries and was listed in critical condition as of Sunday.

All of those on-board were Massachusetts residents, according to police.

In a release, police said Marilyn Deleon-Mutal, 19, was driving an SUV west and tried to pass a tractor-trailer right before the crash took place. She made an over-correction, veered into the median and then re-entered the highway.

The abrupt movements caused the vehicle to roll violently.

Two people, identified as Anibal Deleon, 49, and Jubelina Mutal, 48, were in the backseat of the vehicle. They were both ejected.

Those two individuals were airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital, according to police.

Mutal is listed in critical condition. Meanwhile Deleon was listed in guarded condition.

Three other people had injuries that were not considered life-threatening. They were all treated at Strong and Geneva General Hospital.

Westbound lanes of the New York State Thruway between exits 41 and 42 were closed after a serious rollover crash involving a vehicle around 1:30 p.m.

Troopers say six people were inside the vehicle at the time, which suffered serious damage.

Two people were said to be ejected from the vehicle. They were airlifted to area hospitals.

Troopers say the extent of injuries ranges from minor to life-threatening.
