W-FL Saturday: East Rochester girls improve to 6-1 with win over Newark; Maddie Ryan leads Whitman

There were just three games total across the Wayne-Finger Lakes boys and girls basketball leagues on Saturday. Two girls games and one boys game.

One of the two girls games featured the Newark Reds and the East Rochester Bombers. Zoe Zutes, a junior at East Rochester, scored 21 points to lead the Bombers to their fourth consecutive win and their sixth win of the season. Newark dropped their fourth straight game after the loss. The other girls game featured the Marcus Whitman Wildcats and the Chesterton Academy Chargers. The Wild Cats absolutely dominated the Chargers from the start and picked up a 40-point win.
