Investigation into stolen Jeep, three burglaries continues in Cayuga County

A pair of law enforcement agencies in Cayuga County are asking for the public’s help as a rash of burglaries is investigated.

State Police and the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office are working together to investigate a series of burglaries at the Cayuga County Sportmans Association on Rockefeller Road in Owasco, Ridge Runner Snowmobile Club on Lick Street in Summerhill and at Empire Haven on Sun Lane in Summerhill.

Troopers say a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Oscar Mike Edition was stolen. The Jeep is silver in color, has a large black star on the hood and a soft top.

Anyone with information regarding these crimes or the location of the Jeep is asked to contact the New York State Police in Auburn at (315) 253-3103 or the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Department at (315) 253-1222.
