W-FL Saturday: Howard sinks game-winning free throw to lift Newark over Pal-Mac; Geneva boys win fifth straight

On Saturday night, the Newark Reds defeated the Pal-Mac Red Raiders by one point. Raeshawn Howard, a Freshman at Newark, hit the game-winning free throw. Howard scored 8 of his 13 points in the fourth quarter. The Reds improved to 9-7 with the win while the Red Raiders fell to 6-11 with the loss.

The Geneva Panthers won their fifth consecutive game after defeating the Midlakes Screaming Eagles by 15 points.

On the girls side, the Penn Yan Mustangs blew past the Mynderse Blue Devils and the Williamson Marauders fell to the Perry Yellow Jackets.
