Man charged with aggravated DWI after crash in Seneca Falls

Police say an Avon man was arrested for driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated after a crash in the town of Seneca Falls.

Andrew Cappello, 31, was arrested after a property damage accident when his vehicle went off the road.

Upon investigation it was determined that he was intoxicated and placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated, driving with a BAC over 0.08, aggravated driving while intoxicated, and driving with a BAC over 0.18. He’s also accused of possessing an open container of alcohol inside the vehicle.

Cappello was issued traffic tickets and will appear at a later date in court.
