Dryden FD responds after teen falls through ice; investigation underway in Cortland County

State Police say they are investigating the death of a 14-year-old girl who fell through the ice on a creek near Route 200.

The incident happened in Harford. The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office, Dryden Fire and EMS, and Harford Fire all responded to the scene.

The teen was located just outside the water.

The 14-year-old was then transported by ambulance to Guthrie Cortland Medical Center where she succumbed to her injuries.

State Police say the investigation is ongoing at this time.
