Waterloo duo charged after string of burglaries at Walmart stores in Geneva, Canandaigua

Sheriff Kevin Henderson reports the arrest of two Waterloo residents following a string of Walmart burglaries that occurred in Geneva and Canandaigua during the month of January.

More than $1,500 in merchandise and gift cards were stolen.

Jason B. Osgood, 48, of Waterloo is accused of entering the Geneva Walmart on two separate occasions in January stealing $666 and $582 worth of merchandise during those incidents.

He was issued an appearance ticket, but further investigation revealed that he then entered the Canandaigua Walmart and stole merchandise valued at $663.

Osgood was charged with three counts of petit larceny, and will also be charged with third-degree burglary as result of the investigation.

Sheriff Henderson says Ashley Finch, 22, of Waterloo was also charged with falsifying business records, as part of that same investigation spanning multiple Walmart stores.

She’s accused of completing a fraudulent return, which resulted in her obtaining a gift card valued at $208.

Henderson says Osgood has since been banned from all Walmart properties.
