Gordmans holds grand opening ceremony in Penn Yan, Newark, and Geneva

On Tuesday, Gordmans officially held its grand opening ceremonies.

Locations in Penn Yan, Newark, and Geneva all opened officially. The stores had previously operated under the Peebles branding.

High schools in all three communities received a check worth $1,000 from the retailer.

Penn Yan Academy Assistant Principal Warren Kinsey was on-hand to accept the funds, according Finger Lakes News Radio. Penn Yan Mayor Leigh MacKerchar and store manager Donna Mendez were also on hand at the Penn Yan location.

The company that owns Gordmans plans to convert all Peebles locations this year.
