Java 44 opens on Pre-Emption Rd. in Geneva, bringing coffee and atmosphere to town

Looking for a cup of coffee?

Java 44 is open for business in Geneva. Located at 590 Pre-Emption Road, the coffee shop located in the JRB Commons plaza has struck a note.

A coffee business at the location “was the goal from the day we signed the lease,” Chuck Chambers told the Finger Lakes Times. Cindy Lane-Newcomb’s psychic business operates out of the rear of the building.

Chambers and Lane-Newcomb have been working together on the project from the start.

Chambers is a drywall business owner, and did most of the remodeling work inside the shop.

Both are Penn Yan natives, hoping that this location does so well that they are able to open a second.
