Geneva resident charged with assault in Canandaigua

Police in Canandaigua arrested a Canandaigua man on an assault charge after an investigation into a disturbance on Chapin Street.

Investigators say Carsell Moore, 43, of Geneva threw a cigarette lighter, which struck another person causing a laceration and bruising.

Moore was charged with third-degree assault.

The charge will be answered at a later date.
