Traffic stop leads to drug charges in Ontario Coutny

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a. 26-year-old Newark resident on drug charges.

Darwin Morales, 26, of Newark was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and driving while ability impaired by drugs.

Deputies originally stopped Morales on Outlet Road to check damage to his vehicle. However, investigation determined that he was under the influence of drugs.

He was issued an appearance ticket and the charges will be answered at a later date.
