Granite WWII monument damaged, as well as local historical society property by drunk driver in Seneca County

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a 43-year-old Montour Falls resident following a property damage crash along State Route 414.

Deputies say Kevin Rose, 43, was traveling south on Route 414 when he left the roadway, striking signs, the concrete steps at the Lodi Historical Society, and granite WWII monument.

The vehicle suffered extensive damage and was towed from the scene. Rose was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving with a BAC over .08%, moving from lane unsafely, and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.

He was released on an appearance ticket.
