Lyons man charged with felony assault, imprisonment after attacking girlfriend

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Lyons man following a domestic incident.

Deputies say Sharod Huff, 60, of Lyons was involved in a disturbance on Dry Dock Road with his girlfriend. He’s accused of assaulting her, resulting in serious physical injuries.

During the assault, deputies say Huff held the victim down – not allowing her to leave to get help.

Huff was subsequently charged with second-degree assault and first-degree imprisonment. Both of the charges are felonies.

He’s scheduled to answer the charges at a later date. No update was provided on the victim’s condition.
