Frustration is growing among parents and high school communities across the Finger Lakes as sports remain on hold.
Late last week, lawmakers from around Upstate called for sports to be resumed. Those calls were met with silence.
Bob Chavez of The Daily Messenger looks at the questions that remain as parents wonder what’s next for student athletes. “Most of us understand we’re in unprecedented times and of course, safety is the priority during this coronavirus pandemic. And while we may not like hearing that the high school sports deemed high-risk remain silent, a small part of us at least understands it,” he wrote.
The question is: When will New York State or Gov. Andrew Cuomo relent and let sports resume?
