The Buffalo Sabres have acquired a third-round pick in the 2021 NHL Draft from the Florida Panthers in exchange for defenseman Brandon Montour, the team announced Saturday.

The Sabres now hold nine draft picks in 2021, including two in the third round. The team previously acquired a third-round pick from the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for forward Eric Staal on March 26.

Montour, 26, appeared in 112 games over parts of three seasons with the Sabres, tallying 42 points (13+29). He is set to become an unrestricted free agent during the offseason.
