Auburn officials cancel Memorial Day parade for second consecutive year

The Memorial Day parade in Auburn has been cancelled.

City officials say not being able to enforce state COVID guidelines is one of the reasons why it was cancelled.

The Auburn Kiwanis Club’s Duck Derby has also been cancelled.

Some Memorial Day events will happen, but others will be moved to spaces where social distancing and other accommodations can be made.

Outdoor events later in the summer are expected to happen.
