Canandaigua Lake HAB spotters wanted for this summer

The Canandaigua Lake Watershed Association is looking for help.

Specifically, they are seeking summer spotters for harmful algal blooms.

Volunteers would perform weekly shoreline surveys and watch lake conditions. All that’s required is a 90 minute virtual training course.

Lakes throughout the region have spotters from watershed organizations that work to identify and stay ahead of algae blooms, which have cropped up with more frequency in recent years.
