Two bicyclists struck are identified, one dead and one injured

On Tuesday night two bicyclists were hit in Cincinnatus, N.Y. One was killed and the other injured.

The deceased bicyclist has been identified as 67-year-old Kitt Warren of De Ruyter, N.Y. The injured bicyclist was identified as s 67-year-old John C. Rutan of McGraw, N.Y.

The incident occurred around 7:26 p.m. on Route 26 in the Town of Cincinnatus.




The preliminary investigation indicated that there were four bicyclists and two were hit. The vehicle did not stop and resulted in a death and injury.

State Police and members of the Collision Reconstruction Unit are investigating with the help of Deputies from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Department.
