A former corrections officer from Dannemora, New York, has admitted to illegally providing firearms and ammunition to a convicted felon. Brian Mills, 39, pled guilty to trading a shotgun, rifle, and body armor to Dustin J. Manor, a felon prohibited from possessing weapons.

Mills, who worked at Clinton Correctional Facility, resigned following his arrest. The illegal transactions occurred during the summer of 2022, with Plattsburgh police later seizing the firearms and armor from Manor’s apartment.

Mills faces up to 15 years in prison, with sentencing set for December 19, 2024. Manor has already been sentenced to 57 months in prison for his possession of the firearm.
