Wells College’s campus in Aurora has officially hit the market following the college board’s recent selection of CBRE, a commercial real estate firm based in Syracuse.
CBRE’s listing covers 127 acres with 25 buildings and describes the property as a unique prospect for another institution or redevelopment project.
A sale price remains undisclosed, though interested buyers can request more details through a confidentiality agreement.
The Wells Legacy Society, an alumni group, warned of possible damage as the college has opted to winterize rather than heat the buildings. Preservation experts fear this could lead to irreversible harm.
