The 31st annual Dickens Christmas in Skaneateles kicks off Nov. 29, transforming the village into an 1842 holiday wonderland inspired by “A Christmas Carol.” Running weekends through Dec. 24, the event features interactive street performances, Queen Victoria, Charles Dickens, and other colorful characters.
Highlights include the “World’s Smallest Christmas Parade,” a daily sing-along at the gazebo, and festive activities like Fezziwig’s Christmas Ball, a snowman-building contest, and performances by local musicians and magicians. Children can enjoy story readings by Mother Goose and treats from Father Christmas.
Supported by local businesses, the event is free, with special ticketed activities like raffles and dances available. Visit skaneateles.com for details on this family-friendly holiday tradition.
