The Geneva Salvation Army kicks off its annual Red Kettle Campaign today at City Hall with a goal of raising $50,000 to support local programs and services. These funds aid over 1,000 families yearly through food assistance, after-school programs, and holiday support in Geneva, northeast Ontario County, and Yates County.
Maj. David Champlin emphasized the community’s role in meeting rising needs, calling for volunteers to ring bells at Red Kettles. Each two-hour shift helps feed a family of four for a week. Donations can also be made online, by mail, or through Angel Tree and Virtual Kettle initiatives.
This holiday season, community generosity will be vital to sustaining programs that make a difference for those in need.
