Cornell University announced that the Cascadilla Gorge Trail, connecting College Avenue in Collegetown to University Avenue in Downtown Ithaca, will close for the winter starting Wednesday.
The seasonal closure ensures public safety during icy and hazardous conditions.
Cornell advises visitors to stay on official paths and avoid closed areas near the gorges. The trail is expected to reopen in the spring when weather conditions improve.
