Dr. Keiko Kimura named provost at Cayuga Community College

Dr. Keiko Kimura has been appointed provost and vice president for academic affairs at Cayuga Community College, succeeding Dr. Ronald Cantor, who is retiring this summer. Kimura will assume the role in January while Cantor transitions to other duties.


Kimura, who joined Cayuga in 2017, has held leadership positions, including associate vice president for academic affairs and vice president for workforce development. President Brian Durant praised her leadership and community engagement, expressing confidence in her ability to enhance academic programs.

Kimura’s accomplishments include overseeing the college’s strategic plan and workforce initiatives. Previously, she held academic leadership roles in California and Illinois and has taught internationally. She holds a doctorate from Northern Illinois University and a master’s from Columbia University.
