A crane lowered the highway-visible Taco Bell sign into place Wednesday morning, but the new northeast Ithaca location isn’t ready for business just yet. The site, in the Cayuga Shopping Center in the Village of Lansing, stands where Pizza Hut operated for decades before closing four years ago.
Taco Bell’s media team says there’s no confirmed opening date for the 2301 North Triphammer Road location, though exterior construction is nearly finished. Meanwhile, the existing Taco Bell at 222 Elmira Road in southwest Ithaca will remain open.
The new location is set to welcome customers in 2025.
