A fire broke out Tuesday evening at the New York State Thruway Office Building in Salina, causing a ceiling collapse and prompting emergency evacuations. Fire crews arrived around 7:45 p.m. to battle the blaze.
The fire, which started on the first floor, led to firefighters being pulled from the building for safety. Ten fire companies responded to contain the situation.
Authorities have not yet reported injuries or the extent of the damage. Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing.
