A dozen high school basketball games unfolded across the Wayne-Finger Lakes region on Wednesday night.

The two most thrilling games on the slate took place in Seneca Falls. First, the Mynderse girls secured a non-league overtime victory against Charles G. Finney, ending a three-game losing streak. Then, the Mynderse boys defeated Waterloo, snapping their seven-game win streak and extending their own to four.

Check out the scores, stats, and Thursday’s matchups below.

Waterloo (13-4) 58
Mynderse (10-8) 65

The Blue Devils raced out to an early lead, finishing the first quarter up 18-8. The Tigers fought back, narrowing the gap to 27-23 at halftime. Waterloo carried that momentum into the third quarter, edging ahead 37-36. The two teams traded leads in the fourth, and with 1:51 remaining, the Tigers took a brief three-point lead until Nicholas Mansell drained a game-tying three for Mynderse. After another tie at 58, Mansell struck again from beyond the arc, putting the Blue Devils up 61-58 and they closed the game on a 7-0 run to seal the win over their rivals.
