Coleen Fabrizi, executive director of Corning’s Gaffer District, will retire on June 2 after 17 years of leadership. She will also step down from her roles with the Corning Intown District Management Association and the Downtown Business Improvement District.
Fabrizi spearheaded major initiatives, including GlassFest and the Hometown Hero Program, while fostering key partnerships that made Corning a thriving destination. Under her leadership, downtown maintained a 90% occupancy rate for over a decade, and the Buy Now, Shop Later program helped businesses survive the pandemic.
Beyond her work with the Gaffer District, Fabrizi served on multiple regional boards. She expressed gratitude for her team and confidence in their continued success, emphasizing her passion for placemaking and collaboration.
