The owners of the popular Balloons Restaurant in Auburn are selling after operating it for 34 years. The iconic restaurant, known for its steaks and catering services, was originally opened in 1934 and has remained a staple in the community.
Bernie Simmons tells The Citizen he still loves the job but wants to spend more time with family, including his seven grandchildren.
They plan to remain at the restaurant until new owners take over and hope for a smooth transition that keeps their loyal staff in place.
