The Watkins-Montour Rotary Club recognized Watkins Glen senior Olivia VanSkiver and Odessa-Montour senior Lucas Barr as February’s Students of the Month for their academic and extracurricular achievements.
VanSkiver, a varsity soccer and basketball player, was praised for her determination and kindness. She plans to study Neuroscience at the University of Buffalo and pursue a career in pediatric oncology. Barr, a dedicated student-athlete and theater participant, has also served with the Burdett Fire Department. He intends to study Electrical Construction at Alfred State and build a career in Schuyler County.
The Rotary Club highlighted both students’ leadership, responsibility, and commitment to their communities.
