The Buffalo Bills made a trade Wednesday, sending Kaiir Elam and a 2025 sixth-round pick to the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for a 2025 fifth-round pick and a 2026 seventh-round pick, the teams announced.
Elam, a 2022 first-round draft selection, played three seasons in Buffalo, starting 12 games. He recorded 81 tackles and two interceptions during the regular season, along with two additional interceptions in five playoff appearances.
Last season, Elam started four games, tallying 26 tackles and two passes defended.
The former Florida standout now has an opportunity for a fresh start with the Cowboys.
