A group of residents in New York’s 24th Congressional District is organizing a public forum to discuss the healthcare impacts of federal policies, aiming to give constituents a platform to voice concerns and ask questions.

The event, hosted by Concerned Citizens of NY24, will take place on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Smith Opera House in Geneva. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. The forum will feature a panel of healthcare experts, including Dr. Laurel Dallmeyer, Anne Ruflin, Jennifer Scott, and Dr. Robert Scott, who will provide insights and answer questions from attendees.

The forum is being organized in response to what organizers describe as a lack of engagement from Representative Claudia Tenney, who represents the district in Congress. They hope the event will encourage discussion about federal healthcare policies and how they affect local residents. An invitation was hand-delivered to Tenney’s Canandaigua office, but as of this announcement, she has not responded.

“We believe that healthcare is a critical issue for our district, and residents deserve a space to share their concerns,” the group said in a statement. “We hope Representative Tenney will listen and take action based on the consensus of her constituents.”

The forum is part of a series of public discussions that Concerned Citizens of NY24 plans to hold on various policy issues. Community members are encouraged to attend and participate in the conversation.
