A Denny’s restaurant in Camillus has permanently shut its doors, according to a sign posted at its 5315 W. Genesee Street location. Customers are directed to the chain’s remaining three locations in Onondaga County.
Denny’s confirmed the closure but did not provide a reason. The company recently announced plans to shutter 150 underperforming restaurants. It remains unclear if the Camillus closure is related. Despite this, the chain continues expanding, with over 1,300 U.S. locations and more than 20 new openings planned for 2025.
The Camillus Denny’s had been in operation for over 25 years. It previously closed in 2020 during the pandemic but later reopened.
