Farmington woman charged after child found outside improperly dressed

Deputies arrested a Farmington woman Saturday afternoon following an investigation into a young child found outside without proper clothing for the weather.

Morgan N. Henry, 28, was charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Ontario County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Finger Lakes Hotel on Loomis Road around 4:16 p.m., where they found the child unattended.

Authorities placed Henry in custody at 4:45 p.m. and transported her to Ontario County Jail for arraignment. She was later released on her own recognizance. Deputies said the investigation determined the child had been left alone and was not appropriately dressed for the outdoor conditions.

Henry is scheduled to appear in Town of Farmington Court at a later date to answer the charge.
